Mini-Magazine Mosaics

by Shelley Schenker, WLOS “Craft Corner” Thursday, Oct 30, 2014

Supplies
Printed or drawn designs on Card Stock Paper
Elmer’s Glue-All
Magazine pages with colors of your choice
Scissors

Instructions

  1. Cut around your printed/drawn designs with plenty of extra white space around the edges of the drawing (a block or circle, NOT the details).
  2. Turn the cut around design over – apply torn bits of colored paper (from magazines) to the blank side using Elmer’s Glue-All. Be sure to fill the block or circle.
  3. Let glue dry.
  4. Once the glue is dry, turn the design back over. Cut out the design with all details. You now have a mini-mosaic!
  5. You can use Mini-Mosaics to decorate picture mats or create a brooch by taping large safety pin to the non-colored side. You can use them as accent pieces on your holiday tables or hand decorate a greeting card – possibilities are endless!
